JCI Down 11.8 Percent During February 2025

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted that the Indonesian stock market or the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) until February 2025 contracted by 11.8 percent on a monthly basis or month to date (mtd) to the level of 6,270.60.

"In the midst of sentiment towards the global economic condition, the domestic stock market closed lower by 11.8 percent on February 28, 2025, to the level of 6,270.60, year to date (ytd) weakened by 11.43 percent," said the Chief Executive of the Capital Market Supervisory, Derivative Finance, and OJK Carbon Exchange, Inarno Djajadi at a press conference, Tuesday, March 4.

Inarno said the market capitalization value was recorded at Rp. 10,879 trillion, down 11.68 percent on a monthly basis (mtd) and down 11.8 percent on a fixed basis.

In addition, Inarno added that from the non-resident side, net sell was recorded at IDR 18.19 trillion mtd, while ytd recorded net sell of IDR 21.9 trillion.

Meanwhile, from the bond market index or ICBI rose by 1.14 percent (mtd) or an increase of 1.92 percent (ytd) and non-resident investors recorded a net buy of IDR 8.86 trillion (mtd) and ytd still posted a net buy of IDR 13.51 trillion.

"In the investment management industry, the value of Asset Under Management (AUM) was recorded at IDR 822.65 trillion as of February 28, 2025, down 0.78 percent mtd or 2.16 percent on a basis (ytd) with mutual funds recorded a net subscription of IDR 3.03 trillion (mtd) or a net subscription of IDR 0.44 trillion", he said.

Inarno said that in terms of raising funds in the capital market, it is still in a positive trend, which was recorded from the value of the public offering reaching Rp20.74 trillion, through one limited public offering and also 11 sustainable public offerings.

"There are still 123 public offering pipelines with an estimated indicative value of Rp42.56 trillion," he explained.

Inarno conveyed that for fundraising at Securities Crowdfunding (SCF) since the implementation of SCF provisions until February 25, 2025, there have been 18 organizers who have obtained permission from the OJK with 759 issuance of securities from 492 publishers and also 176,119 investors with a total SCF fund collected and amended at KSEI amounting to Rp1.43 trillion.
