Flooded House, Head Of Authority Basuki Hadimuljono Break Through Floods Using Trail Motorcycles
JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono again showed his funny behavior in the field.
This time the hilarious incident was not shown to be related to his duties as an official at the Authority, but his actions when he hit the flood.
In a video circulating as seen by VOI, he was seen crashing into the flood with a green trail motorbike, driven by a man behind him.
The flood that submerged the area looked quite high, reaching half the motorcycle that was boarded by the former Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
Based on confirmation from his aide, Reza Eqya, the incident in the video was around his residence, an elite residential area in Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday, March 4.
"That's right (there was the incident). Currently (Pak Basuki) is still at the residence," Reza told VOI, Tuesday, March 4.
The Jabodetabek area itself was hit by heavy rains which resulted in flooding at a number of points.
Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Dwikorita Karnawati said extreme weather in Jabodetabek would still last until next week.
This was revealed by Dwikorita in the Jabodetabek flood control coordination meeting (Rakor) led by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno.
"For the potential in the next week, because the phenomenon will continue even though it will decrease for a while, but then it seems that the peak (rain) is on March 11", said Dwikorita, Tuesday, March 4.
Seeing the potential for heavy rain that will continue in the next few days, the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Suharyanto said the government would carry out weather modification operations (OMC) until Saturday, March 8.
"BNPB will carry out this weather modification operation up to 8 (March). Hopefully with this OMC, at least we will be able to reduce the rain for the days ahead," he said.
Suharyanto added that his party had asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to continue OMC in its area, as has been done from the 2025 new year to last February.
Then, BNPB coordinated with the West Java Provincial Government, especially Bogor Regency, to send a team to deal with landslides and repair broken bridges.
"Then there are 7 damaged infrastructures, for example yesterday Bogor Regency. So, for the short term that can be implemented immediately is using a bailey bridge," he explained.
