1 Killed And Dozens Injured By Attacking Each Other Between Supporters Of Paslon Regents-Wabub Puncak Jaya
Papuan Police said a resident died as a result of a dispute between supporters of the candidate pair for Regent and Deputy Regent of Puncak Jaya in the Mulia area.
"It is true that another dispute occurred around Mulia City, the capital of Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, which caused one person to die," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in Jayapura, Antara, Tuesday, March 4.
From the reports received, the attack that took place last Monday began when one of the supporters carried out the persecution and resulted in one person dying.
The persecution took place on Jalan Axis Kuburan Tujuh, Mulia. The victim's body was then taken to the post so that the crowd at the post did not accept it and carried out a counterattack.
In addition to one death, the attack on each other also caused dozens of people to be injured and the house burned. The Puncak Jaya Police together with the 1714 Kodim Puncak Jaya tried to secure the two groups from attacking each other.
"Security forces are still on standby so that the action of attacking each other does not happen again," hoped Chief of Police Puncak Jaya AKBP Kuswara.
The data compiled by ANTARA, since the action of attacking each other between the two supporters of the candidate pair for Regent and Deputy Regent of Puncak Jaya that occurred since the beginning of last February has caused three people to die, 178 people were injured and 88 houses burned.
