Free Homecoming Registration For DKI Provincial Government Opened March 7, Departure On 27

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the free homecoming program held by the DKI Provincial Government will be opened on March 7, 2025.

The announcement of free homecoming registration will be revealed on the social media accounts of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

"Departure for passengers from the National Monument on March 27. Return on April 6", Syafrin told reporters, Tuesday, March 4.

Meanwhile, departure for travelers' motorbikes by truck on the 26th from Pulogadung Terminal. Meanwhile, delivery home for motorbikes on April 5 from the destination terminal.

Syafrin said that the free homecoming quota for passengers and vehicles provided this year is more than in 2024.

For the record, the DKI Provincial Government's free homecoming quota last year was around 18 thousand people. This year, the target for residents to be accommodated for homecoming delivery is 22,400 for passenger transportation and 600 motorbikes for two directions.

"This year there is an increase in the number of buses, an increase of 21 percent. So as many as 293 buses will be prepared for free homecoming and 228 free return flow," explained Syafrin.

He also explained the reason why the DKI Provincial Government has added free homecoming quotas. "Last year, many also hoped to join the free homecoming. Then because our quota was also full, in the end they were not occupied. So, we added the bus capacity (this year)," he added.

This year, the DKI Provincial Government will send residents to 20 cities in 6 provinces. Some of them are Palembang City, Bandar Lampung, Kuningan, Tasikmalaya, Tegal, Pekalongan, Sragen, DI Yogyakarta, Blitar, to Malang.

Currently, the DKI Provincial Government is still procuring auctions for its implementation. The budget prepared to organize the DKI Provincial Government's free homecoming program this year is worth Rp. 16 billion.
