Floods Again Soak 12 RTs In East Jakarta Due To The Overflow Of Ciliwung River
JAKARTA A total of 12 RTs in four urban villages in East Jakarta were again flooded due to the overflow of the Ciliwung River on Tuesday morning, March 4. The water level varies, ranging from 60 cm to 350 cm.
Based on data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD, floods hit four sub-districts, namely Bidara Cina, Kampung Melayu, Cililitan, and Gedong.
The Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohamad Yohan, confirmed that the three RTs in Bidara Cina Village were affected with water levels ranging from 90 to 100 cm.
"Meanwhile, in Kampung Melayu Village, there are four RTs that are still submerged with water levels reaching 95 cm due to the overflow of the Ciliwung River," said Yohan, Tuesday, March 4.
In Cililitan Village, two RTs were affected by a water level of 60 cm. Meanwhile, the highest flooding occurred in Gedong Village, where three RTs were submerged in water with a height of up to 150 to 350 cm.

This flood was triggered by heavy rains that flushed Bogor on Sunday, March 2 and Jakarta on Tuesday, March 4, causing the Katulampa Dam to experience an increase in status:

Similar conditions also occurred at the Depok Monitoring Post, Angke Hulu, Pesanggrahan, and Manggarai and Karet Watergates, all of which increased to standby 3 (Alert) to standby 1 (Danger) within a period of several hours.
The DKI Jakarta BPBD has deployed all rubber boats available in the affected sub-district and added a fleet of boats from the Task Force that were transported using a Traga car to help evacuate residents.
