Ministry Of Health Approves PSBB In West Java
JAKARTA - Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto has agreed to impose large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in West Java. After previously, Jakarta took the precedence over this policy.
On Wednesday, April 8, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil has proposed Large-Scale Social Restrictions, or PSBB, for Bogor Regency and City, Depok City, and Bekasi Regency and City (Bodebek).
In this regard, the government spokesman for the corona virus or COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, confirmed that the Minister of Health had approved the PSBB to be implemented in West Java.
When emphasized whether the implementation of this policy was for Bogor Regency and City, Depok City, and Bekasi Regency and City (Bodebek), Yuri only said that it was in accordance with what the applicant had proposed.
"It has been approved. In accordance with the West Java Governor's letter," he said when confirmed, Saturday, April 11.
Match the frequency
Emil said the Bodebek area must be in tune with DKI Jakarta in determining the COVID-19 prevention policy. This is because data shows that nationally 70 percent of the COVID-19 distribution is in the Jabodetabek area.
Thus, it was decided to follow the policies implemented in DKI Jakarta by imposing the PSBB. "This indicates that we want a policy frequency with DKI Jakarta because data shows that nationally 70 percent of the COVID-19 distribution is in the Greater Jakarta area," Ridwan Kamil said, Wednesday, April 8.
For this reason, it is hoped that the Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto, will approve the application for PSBB status in the five regions. It took about two days to consider and determine whether this was approved or not.
"Later it will be reviewed by the Ministry of Health, hopefully a day or two a decision will be issued," said Ridwan Kamil.
Establish a curfew
Previously, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that the PSBB policy submission was based on the data he had collected. "West Java will make decisions based on data, including the PSBB we will exercise based on the data we receive (from the regions). If the data is incomplete, it will be difficult for us to complete the PSBB argument to the central government," Ridwan said in a statement, Tuesday, April 7.
To further strengthen the data that will be submitted to the center, Ridwan said, his party is still waiting for the report on the massive test results for COVID-19 through the Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) method. The results of this test will later be used to see the distribution map and new patterns that exist and become the basis for decision making regarding PSBB in the region.
In the implementation of the PSBB, apart from seeing the areas most infected with the virus, later the West Java Provincial Government will prioritize areas directly adjacent to DKI Jakarta. In addition, Ridwan said that his party had agreed to plan a curfew as a step to increase physical distancing or maintain distance in the area.
This step, he said, had also been approved by the West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Budi Rudy Sufahriadi. "We agreed to plan a curfew. We directed the regencies / cities to immediately carry out curfew treatment efforts, part of the disciplinary process and PSBB in the West Java region ... Earlier this was approved by the Chief of Police, as long as he coordinates with the police under Polda," he said.
