Menpora Amali Asked Menpora Cup Champion Not To Parade, High Appreciation For Supporters
JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung will again compete in the final second leg of the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournament at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Sunday, April 25.
The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali warned the two teams not to be overly euphoric in celebrating the victory, causing crowds on the streets.
According to him, the winning team will have to support the government's efforts to solve the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the country.
"If one has won, don't parade. Don't over-celebrate, just be grateful for what you get, ”said Menpora Amali, Friday, April 23.
Previously, in the final of the first leg at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Yogyakarta, Thursday, April 22 evening, Persija Jakarta won 2-0 over Persib Bandung.
In the final match, Menpora Amali hopes that the two teams, both Persija and Persib, can show their best play by prioritizing high technique and sportsmanship.
"They must be able to present interesting and entertaining shows, that is as a reward for supporters and the general public who love football who have obediently watched from home, don't crowd and don't watch together," explained Menpora Amali.
Menpora also hopes that the final second leg of the Menpora Cup will run smoothly like previous matches. Of course, with the success of the health protocol so that the League 1 and League 2 competitions can also roll on.
"I hope the implementation of the final leg 2 of the Menpora Cup can run smoothly. "This is the closing match for the pre-season tournament before entering the League 1 and League 2 competitions next season," said Menpora.
Menpora Amali expressed his high appreciation to supporters and fans of national football for complying with the rules issued by PSSI and LIB not to watch in the stadium. The audience must be willing to watch the comparisons from home considering that Indonesia is still in a pandemic situation.
"To the supporters, high appreciation and thanks for working together to make the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournament a success," said Menpora Amali.
