WhatsApp Beta Develops New Features For Video Calls

JAKARTA WhatsApp is developing some new features in the beta app version. This feature is simple, but some users may need it when making video calls.

Based on Android Authority findings on WhatsApp beta version 2.25.5.21 for Android devices, the platform under the auspices of Meta is developing two features. The first is emoji reactions and the second is a hands-up feature.

Generally, these two features can be found in video conferencing applications. However, considering that WhatsApp is a messaging application, these two features will improve the user experience. With this feature, WhatsApp users can hold online meetings.

If WhatsApp users want to discuss important things and need to be done immediately, they don't need to use applications like Zoom or Google Meet. They can make video calls on WhatsApp without time limit.

However, this feature is only useful in non-formal circumstances. People still need original video conferencing applications to hold online meetings if the context is formal, such as regular company meetings or student organization meetings.

To use this feature, users only need to make video calls as usual, then tap the three-dot icon at the bottom. Next, a new window will appear with a limited emoji option. There are only six emojis to choose from.

At the bottom of the emoji, users will see several options, one of which is Hand raised. This feature can be useful for users who want to ask questions without wanting to interfere with the conversation.
