Germany Open 2025: Rehan/Gloria Runner Up

JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto / Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja had to settle for leaving as runner-up at the 2025 German Open.

They failed to climb the highest podium in the event due to losing against the Dutch and Danish gados, Robin Rabeling/Alexandra Boje, two straight games 17-21 and 12-21 on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Rehan/Gloria are the only Indonesian representatives who managed to enter the final round of the BWF Super 300 level event.

Throughout the match, Rehan/Gloria were really difficult to put pressure on their opponents. There were only two chances they took the lead, all of which happened in the first set.

The failure of this pair made Indonesia go home without bringing the title from Germany. Previously, seven other representatives had returned early.

From the men's and women's singles sector there are Alwi Farhan and Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi. Both of them returned in a row in the second half and the first round of the tournament.

Then in the women's doubles sector, Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose. This seventh-seeded pair ran aground in the second half.

The other four representatives are Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, Jafar Hidayatullah/Falisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata, and Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah.

The furthest journey from the four pairs above is the quarter-finals reached by Jafar/Felisha. The other three ran aground in the first half.

Furthermore, the European tour will continue with the Super 300 Orleans Masters tournament. The plan will be held in Palais des Sports, Orleans on March 4-9.

After that, the journey of Indonesia's representative will continue to the Super 1000 All England tournament on March 11-16 and the Super 300 Swiss Open on March 18-23, 2025.
