Prostitution At Karaoke Place 'Mansion KTV' Semarang, Police Name Pimps As Suspects
JAKARTA - The Central Java Police have named one suspect in the alleged prostitution case at the 'Mansion KTV' karaoke place, Kiai Saleh Street, Semarang City
Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. Dwi Subagio said the suspect YS was a pimp who was a provider of immoral services at the entertainment venue.
"The suspect has been detained for further investigation," said Dwi in Semarang, Sunday, February 2, as reported by Antara.
Dwi said that there were about 20 witnesses who were questioned in the investigation of the case, consisting of employees and song guides at the entertainment venue.
In investigating the case, he said, the police also coordinated with relevant stakeholders to find out the aspect of licensing the entertainment venue
Previously, the Central Java Regional Police took action against a karaoke place in Semarang City which allegedly provided entertainment for strippers and prostitution for their visitors.
Officers from the Sub-Directorate of Renakta of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Central Java Police acted after obtaining information from the public about activities that violated the law.
The officers then sealed the entertainment venue for further legal proceedings.
