Extorting Lover Couples, Fake Police Arrested By Police Really

TANGERANG - Police arrested a man with the initials Z who is suspected of extorting a lover in the Binong area, Curug, Tangerang Regency. The mode is claiming to be a member of the police.

South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Victor Inkiriwang said the perpetrator carried out the action by following the victim who had just left the apartment in Binong, Karawaci, Tangerang Regency, Tuesday, February 25.

After that, continued Victor, the perpetrator approached the victim and claimed to be a member of the police. Then threaten to catch the young pair of this mud.

"This perpetrator threatened the victim to say that they were going to be arrested, because this perpetrator saw the victim who was paired out of the inn. Then, he also scared the victim, by claiming to be a member of the National Police," Victor said in his statement, Sunday, March 2.

The victim, who was starting to get scared, took advantage of the situation by asking the victim for Rp1 million.

"The victim was asked for Rp1 million and given. From there, the victim reported to us and we managed to arrest him. Based on the examination, this action has been carried out several times and the amount of extortion is in the range of Rp1 to Rp3 million," he said.

For his actions, the suspect was subject to an article that was violated by Article 368 of the Criminal Code, with a criminal penalty in the form of a maximum imprisonment of 9 years.
