Kemenpar Strategy In Eid 2025: Lower Airline Ticket Prices And Tourism Campaign
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) has prepared a number of strategies to anticipate a surge in community movements to ensure smoothness and comfort during the Lebaran 2025 holiday season. These steps include support for lowering aircraft ticket prices and tourism campaigns.
"We welcome this policy with the hope that discounted plane ticket prices can increase the number of domestic tourist trips, especially in welcoming the Lebaran 1446 H holiday. With more affordable rates, it is hoped that more people can take advantage of this opportunity to travel back and forth and explore various destinations in Indonesia," said the Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri in her official statement, Saturday, March 1.
The government has set a policy of decreasing domestic flight ticket prices, with tariff cuts of 13-14% during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period. In addition, there is also a tourism campaign titled #MudikYuk and #LebaranIn JakartaAja
This policy applies to economic classes throughout Indonesia, with travel periods from March 24 to April 7, 2025. Ticket purchases can be made from March 1, 2025, so that people have more flexible time to plan trips at a more cost.
The increasing mobility of the community during Eid, which is often higher than other long holidays such as Christmas and New Year, demands careful preparation.
Various steps have been prepared to ensure smooth homecoming, including infrastructure improvement and optimization of land, sea and air transportation services.
In addition, cross-ministerial and institutional coordination is also strengthened through the establishment of an integrated post which aims to regulate traffic flow and reduce congestion at congestion-prone points.
The government also provides various additional incentives, including discounted toll rates on a number of roads and free homecoming programs for 100,000 travelers using land, sea, and rail transportation.
The Ministry of Tourism fully supports these various efforts with a main focus on improving tourism services and community mobility, so that the 2025 Lebaran homecoming trip can run smoothly and provide a more comfortable experience.
Then, the #MudikYuk and #Lebaran tourism campaigns in JakartaAja were held with the aim of inviting domestic tourists to be more active in exploring tourist destinations during the Lebaran 2025 holiday period, with a target of supporting the achievement of 1.08 billion domestic tourist trips throughout the year.
This initiative is also in line with the #DiIndonesiaAja national campaign and the Proud Travel program in Indonesia (BBWI), which aims to strengthen the domestic tourism sector.
The #MudikYuk campaign is designed to invite people to explore tourist attractions around their hometowns during their homecoming.
Meanwhile, the #LebaranDiJakartaAja campaign targets Jakarta residents and their surroundings who do not plan to go home, as well as tourists who want to make Jakarta their vacation destination.
