South Japek II Toll Road Will Function To Unravel The Density Of The 2025 Eid Homecoming Flow

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police stated that the South Japek II Toll Road will be functionalized to unravel the density of homecoming and return to Lebaran 2025. The implementation of the functional toll road is a strategy in Operation Ketupat 2025.

Police Traffic Police Chief Inspector General Agus Suryo Nugroho said his party had prepared scenarios for traffic density management, such as the use of functional toll roads to reduce expenses at points prone to congestion in Operation Ketupat 2025.

According to him, functional toll roads can stream up to 1,000 vehicles per hour so that they have the potential to reduce the Cikampek-Cipularang toll load.

"The functional toll road at kilometer 76 which goes directly to 37 or 34 will change the traffic control pattern in Operation Ketupat 2025," Agus said in a written statement in Jakarta, Saturday, March 1 regarding Lebaran 2025 with the South Japek II toll road.

He added that his party will also evaluate traffic engineering patterns that are different from the previous year. In addition, restrictions on three-axis and upper-axis vehicles on toll roads and arteries during the ketupat operation.

"We have received many complaints about limited roads due to heavy vehicles, including potential accidents, such as failed brakes and overload," said Agus.

He added that his party would conduct a path survey, collaboration, and coordination with stakeholders regarding the right policy formulation. The finalization of the formulation will be discussed further in the central level meeting.

With various strategies such as the functionalization of the South Japek II Toll Road, it is hoped that Operation Ketupat 2025 can take place in an orderly, safe and smooth manner, ensuring that the journey of the 2025 Eid homecoming and return flow is more comfortable for the community.
