SE Walkot Signed, Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Bans The President From Going To Solo

YOGYAKARTA - Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Mayor of Solo, officially bans Eid homecoming activities for 1-17 May 2021. With this, Mayor Gibran Rakabuming has prohibited the President from going back to Solo, even if he is his own father.

"No, (Joko Widodo) is not going home," said Gibran at Solo City Hall, Wednesday, April 21.

Previously, Gibran Rakabuming had signed the Mayor's Circular (SE) Number 067/1156. In the circular, one of the points regulates the prohibition of going home and the five-day quarantine sanction for travelers who violate it.

Rules prohibiting going home to Solo

The rules apply to all parties, but there are exceptions, namely for people who have urgent interests, such as visits to a sick family, visits from the bereaved family members, delivery of pregnant women, and official travel. To be able to go home, these people must bring an exit and entry permit (SIKM) and the PCR or antigen swab test results with negative results.

Permits for official travel agents must be signed by an echelon II level official. For private employees who wish to travel, a permit must be signed by the leadership.

Informal workers and non-workers must bring a certificate from the village or sub-district head. The letter is accompanied by a statement of origin, destination, and telephone number.

Regarding the quarantine, Gibran admitted to having prepared a quarantine house, namely Solo Technopark. Another option is quarantine in hotels for the well-off people.

"We provide two places. Later we will first use one place in Solo Technopark. (Hotel quarantine) is for those who are able. There will be (categories)," explained Gibran.
