Pindad Prepares Mass Production Of Maung MV3 Garuda For Cabinet

BANDUNG - President Director of PT Pindad Sigit P Santosa said that the defense industry he leads has prepared the mass production of Maung MV3 Garuda which will be used by ministers in the Red and White Cabinet.

According to him, Pindad is just waiting for coordination with various ministries regarding the need for the number of units.

After that, according to him, Pindad will immediately prepare a supply chain for the mass production of the vehicle.

"So we are not stuck, today our average (production) is probably around 15 (units) per day, but later when we have full speeds it can be 30, 40, 50," said Sigit after attending the delivery ceremony of 700 units of Maung MV3 to the TNI-Polri at Husein Sastranegara Air Base, Bandung, West Java, Saturday, March 1 reported by ANTARA.

After the production capacity is sufficient, according to him, Pindad will not be a problem if it receives a large number of orders for the vehicle.

He said that currently Pindad is completing the production of Maung MV3 with a contract value of 4,100 units for the special vehicle (ransus) needs of the TNI-Polri. On this Saturday, 700 Maung MV3 units were handed over to the TNI-Polri and are already the second stage.

In September, he targets Pindad to complete 2,800 Maung MV3 units from the contract.

Furthermore, according to him, Pindad will accelerate the production of the vehicle.

"Immediately, we will complete the second contract of 1,300 (units) quickly," he said.

Meanwhile, Special Staff to the Minister of Defense for Social and Public Communications, Deodatus Andreas Deddy Cahyadi Sunjoyo or Deddy Corbuzier, said that civil society would later be able to enjoy Maung MV3 after being produced and sold in general.

He admitted that he was impressed with the PT Pindad production vehicle because it had a fairly good toughness.

"A few days before today, I personally visited PT Pindad's Defend ID. I have tried to produce Maung's car as well, I have tried to save it too, I have tried my toughness too," said Deddy, who was also present at the location.
