Defense Minister: Babinsa To Bhabinkamtibmas Will Shake Maung MV3

Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said the Village Development Officer (Babinsa) and Bhayangkara Community Security and Order Development (Bhabinkamtibmas) personnel would use a special vehicle (Ransus) Maung MV3 produced by PT Pindad.

The government has gradually handed over the ransom produced by PT Pindad to defense and security institutions. Later, he said, the domestic product will be used by personnel of various levels.

"This will be used continuously in all corners, and at all levels, starting from the Commander, Chief of Police, KSAU, KSAL, Army Chief of Staff to the village level, Babinsa, Babinkamtibmas," said Sjafrie during the delivery of Maung MV3 at Husein Sastranegara Air Base, Bandung, West Java, Saturday, March 1 reported by ANTARA.

However, the Minister of Defense said the vehicles to be used by the leadership of the TNI and Polri would be equipped with air conditioning (AC). Meanwhile, vehicles for the operation of soldiers have open specifications.

Maung MV3 is called by the Minister of Defense as a national pride being raised by the state so that Indonesia appears dignified. According to him, Indonesia wants to be equal to other developed countries in the world.

"This is a sign that our national industry has risen to support Indonesia's ability to maintain national stability," he said.

The Ministry of Defense handed over 700 Maung MV3 sequences, consisting of 50 units for the TNI Headquarters, 400 units for the Army, 100 units for the Navy, 100 units for the Indonesian Air Force, and 50 units for the Police.

The handover of the ransom was attended by TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Tonny Harjono, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Prior to the handover, the officials directly checked hundreds of Maung MV3 who had been lined up at the Husein Sastranegara Air Base Apron. As for Maung which was handed over to each institution, according to the typical color of the institution.
