Floods Of Support For Ukraine From World Leaders After Trump-Zelenskyy Heat Debate

JAKARTA - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiyy has the support of world leaders, especially Europe, after returning without new 'support' after a dispute with United States President Donald Trump at the White House.

Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs fair and lasting peace, and we are working to make it happen," Zelenskyy said in a tweet.

Meanwhile Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stressed Russia invaded Ukraine illegally and could not be justified.

Over the past three years, the Ukrainian people have struggled with courage and resilience. Their struggle for democracy, freedom and sovereignty is an important struggle for all of us. Canada will continue to support Ukraine and Ukraine in achieving a just and lasting peace," he said.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed peace for Ukraine. Germany is certain to be reliable in Ukraine.

"Russia is an aggressor, and Ukraine is a country that is the target of aggression. I think we are fine with helping Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Russia three years ago, and continuing to do the same. We, the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan, and many others, we must be grateful to all those who have helped and respected those who have fought from the start. Because they fought for their dignity, their independence, their children and European security. These are simple things, but in fact it is good to remember at a time like this, that's all," said French President Emmanuel Macron.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni stressed the division in the West would create weaknesses.

The split will not benefit anyone. What is needed is an immediate summit between the United States, European countries and its allies to talk honestly about how we intend to face these big challenges at this time, starting with Ukraine, which we have maintained together in recent years, and the challenges we must face in the future. This is a proposal that Italy wants to submit to its partners in the coming hours," Meloni said.

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Spokesman Keir Starmer confirmed his steadfast support for Ukraine as well as played a role in finding a path to peace.

"We will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary, because this is the struggle of a democratic state against the authoritarian regime led by Vladimir Putin, which clearly has an imperialistic plan, not only against Ukraine, but also across the region," said Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
