President Putin Meets Senior North Korean Officials, Appreciates Support To Moscow

JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with a senior North Korean official in Moscow on Thursday.

Putin met at the Kremlin with Ri Hi-yong, a member of the North Korean Workers Party Central Committee Politburo and secretary of the party's Central Committee, reported by Reuters, Saturday, March 1.

Putin expressed his gratitude for North Korea's active support for Russia, reports KCNA, which shows the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.

North Korea has deployed thousands of troops to support Russian troops fighting in Ukraine, according to Ukrainian, US and South Korean assessments.
