Banda Islands Rocked By M6.0 Earthquake
JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude (M) 6.0 rocked the Banda Islands, Central Maluku Regency, Malauku Province, on Saturday (1/3) at 04.58 WIB.
Until now there have been no reports of the impact of the earthquake.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake was at coordinates 5.81 south latitude and 130.68 east longitude and centered at sea about 167 km southeast of Banda.

The earthquake was at a depth of 158 kilometers and was felt on the MMI II scale in Banda Naira, II in Sorong, and Samulaki.
