Full Of Inspirational Values, Nurhayati Subakat's Life Journey Successfully Builds A Beauty Business Through Films
JAKARTA - ParagonCorp celebrates its 40th birthday in a special way, which is to present an inspiring film about the life journey of Nurhayati Subakat, the founder and main commissioner of PT Paragon Technology and Innovation that manages Wardah brands and a number of other popular cosmetic brands.
This film is not just a biography, but also spreads the values held firmly by ParagonCorp. In the discussion about this film, dr. Sari Chairunnisa, daughter of Nurhayati Subakat and Deputy CEO of ParagonCorp revealed that the main intention in making this film was to get closer to Allah.
"The intention is good, God willing, help. Second, dare to dream and start from childhood. We want to show that the business starts from below," he said, when met at CGV Grand Indonesia, Jakarta on Friday, February 28.
This film was worked on by directors Gina S. Noer and Kurnia Cahya Putra. They are full of accuracy in making short films in order to accurately represent the life story of Nurhayati Subakat.
The shooting process lasted for three months, with locations in Padang and Jakarta. The production team is trying to present a real picture of Nurhayati Subakat's little life in Padang. Previously, this inspirational story had been written in the form of a novel written by writer Ahmad Wadi.
"The film media is more universal, there are movements, there are songs, they can convey messages more," said director Gina S. Noer.
In determining the role of the 74-year-old entrepreneur, the production team chose senior actress Widyawati, Revalina S. Temat and Nafiza Fatia Rani to describe various phases of her life. Gina S. Noer said that Nurhayati Subakat's character must be played by a figure who is gentle but firm.
"Alhamdulillah, we can get players and directors who are really okay," he said.
For Gina S. Noer, the creative process in making this film is also a separate spiritual journey.
"We as creators always question the essence of working, initial intentions, and final goals. Is this in accordance with the spirit of the Paragonian or not?" he said.
Revalina S. Temat also felt a big challenge in playing the figure of Nurhayati Subakat.
