JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prohibits a number of nightclubs from operating during the month of Ramadan until the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.

This is stated in the Announcement of the Head of the DKI Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Number e-001 of 2025 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Businesses in the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 1446 Hijri or 2025 AD.

The types of entertainment venues that must be closed in the SE are nightclubs, discotheques, steam baths, massage houses, scarcity game arenas for adults, as well as bars or drinking houses.

"A certain type of tourism business must be closed on 1 day before the holy month of Ramadan until 1 day after the second day of Eid al-Fitr," said Head of DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Andhika Permata in the announcement, Friday, February 28.

However, the DKI Jakarta Disparekraf excluded the ban on the operation of entertainment venues in question during Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr if the tourism business premises are in 4-star hotels and 5-star hotels and commercial areas.

"Especially for nightclubs and discotheque businesses that are held to be integrated with the hotel area at least 4 embila and commercial embila and not close to residential areas, houses of worship, schools and/or hospitals except from the provisions (obligatory closure)," explained Andhika.

Meanwhile, entertainment venues such as karaoke and billiards or sodok balls are still allowed to operate during Ramadan. Executive karaoke business places may operate at 20.30-24.00 WIB and family karaoke at 14.00-24.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, the provisions are located in one room with an executive karaoke business starting at 20.30 WIB until 24.00 WIB and those located not in one room with entertainment venues that must be closed from 11.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.

Then, the DKI Disparekraf requires all entertainment venues regulated in this SE to completely close operations at a certain time. Namely on one day before the holy month of Ramadan, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, the night of Nuzulul Qur'an, one day before Eid al-Fitr or Takbiran night, as well as the first and second day of Eid al-Fitr.

Not only regulating operating hours, SE also stipulates the rules that apply during the month of Ramadan for the implementation of tourism businesses, namely the prohibition of installing billboards/posters/publicity, as well as other film performances and performances that are pornographic, pornographic and erotic. Then, the prohibition of causing disturbances to the environment, and the prohibition of providing gifts in any form and type.

"In addition, there is also a prohibition on providing opportunities to make bets or gambling, circulation and use of drugs, and must respect or maintain a conducive atmosphere in the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," explained Andhika.

"As for the tourism business in the field of food and beverage services that are not regulated in this circular, it is recommended to wear a curtain so that it is not fully visible," he added.

Moreover, investigators are still gathering other clues as a strong basis for the process of determining the suspect.

"We are also related to the 201 (HGB), we also have suspects who the culprit is," said Djuhandhani.
