Police Open The Road! SOTR In Tangerang Can Be Held, Here Are The Conditions

TANGERANG Good news for Tangerang residents! Tangerang Police officially allowed Sahur On The Road (SOTR) activities during Ramadan. However, there are strict conditions that must be obeyed by participants so as not to cause disturbances to the community.

Tangerang Police Chief, Kombes Baktiar Joko Mijiono, emphasized that SOTR can be done as long as it does not smell negative, disturbs public order, or leads to criminal acts.

"As long as the activity does not smell negative, disturbs the community, and damages order, go ahead," said Kombes Baktiar, Friday (1/3).

Even though they are allowed, the police will continue to carry out strict supervision to prevent potential security disturbances. The security team will be alerted at various vulnerable points to ensure the event takes place conducively.

"We will deploy personnel for supervision as a preventive effort," he added.

In addition, the police will tighten security in several strategic locations to prevent criminal acts such as brawls, illegal racing, or misuse of SOTR for disturbing purposes.

As in previous years, the Tangerang Police are committed to maintaining security during Ramadan so that people can worship in peace.

So, for those who want to join the SOTR, make sure to stay orderly and not cause trouble. If you violate the rules, get ready to deal with the authorities!
