Bekasi Sea Pagar SHM Counterfeiting Case Rises Investigation
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police carried out the process of conducting a case involving the alleged forgery of Certificates of Ownership (SHM) related to the Bekasi sea fence or what occurred in Segarajaya Village, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi. As a result, the case was upgraded to the investigation stage.
"We all agreed to increase the status of the LP from an investigation to an investigation," said the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Friday, February 28.
The reason for the increase in the status of the case is because in the case title process involving investigators, middle investigators, and the main reason for the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, it was found that the alleged criminal act that occurred in the police report (LP) number LP/B/64/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI, dated February 7, 2025.
With the status of the case being upgraded to an investigation. So, the follow-up that will be carried out is to complete the administrative requirements to determine the suspect.
"We will complete the investigation administration, then send the SPDP to the prosecutor," he said.
In an effort to find suspects in that case, investigators will examine a number of witnesses and look for other clues. Thus, the determination process will be supported by strong evidence.
"We will also still wait for additional forensic laboratory testing of some evidence," said Djuhandhani.
In this case, at least 93 SHMs were allegedly falsified related to the Bekasi sea fence or what happened in Segarajaya Village, Tarumajaya District.

Previously, about 25 witnesses had been examined. They come from ministries, institutions, village apparatus agencies, and the village community. "We have processed and examined 25 witnesses," said Djuhandhani.
