Performance Of The Minister Of PKP In The First 100 Days Of Reaping Polemics, This Complaint Developer Association
JAKARTA - A number of developer associations criticized the performance of the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) led by Maruarar Sirait alias Ara during the first 100 days of Presidential Government Prabowo Subianto.
The association considers that there has been no significant breakthrough that helps developers provide housing, especially subsidized houses for low-income people (MBR).
Chairman of the DPP Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Joko Suranto in a media discussion on Thursday, February 27, reminded that developers are industry players who have been building housing in Indonesia for decades.
"We are developers who have been gathered in associations for decades and have proven ourselves to be loyal partners of the government for years providing MBR's house. We are not typically hit and run entrepreneurs, so we are willing to form and join the association," he was quoted as saying on Friday, February 28.
Joko criticized that the Ministry of PKP, which has made many policies that are not friendly to subsidized house developers, the majority of which are MSMEs. One thing that is criticized is that the Ministry of PKP prefers to echo negative things and cover the positive side of the developer.
"We have helped the government in providing housing for MBR. But the good ones are not delivered, but the bad ones continue to be raised. We don't know what the motive is, is it just seeking popularity or is there another motive?" Joko asked.
According to Joko, the property industry, including housing, is one of the easiest ways for the government to leverage economic growth to 8 percent as targeted.
In addition, one indicator of people's welfare is a decent home. In this case, developers are actors who are able to run and provide houses to measure welfare can be achieved.
"On August 16, President Prabowo Subianto will read out his state speech in front of the MPR RI Annual Session. The people certainly want to hear from the head of state what has been done in realizing the housing program as part of the Astacita mission," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the DPP Association of Housing and Settlement Developers throughout Indonesia (Apersi) Junaidi Abdillah admitted that he was pessimistic about the 3 million house development program targeted by President Prabowo Subianto if the work of the Minister of PKP was still as it is today.
"The housing sector requires regulations that favor the community and all housing ecosystems. We should stay away from noise, we all support President Prabowo's program of 3 million houses, really," he said.

In line with other associations, the General Chairperson of the DPP Association for the National Housing Development and Marketing Association (Asprumnas) M. Syawali Priatna admitted that he was uncomfortable with the way the Minister Ara showed.
Syawali also hopes that there will be changes from the current conditions. Given, he said, all developer associations need policies that can realize the program of 3 million houses, including the distribution of Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) for MBR.
"The program of 3 million houses is a noble mission, especially for MBR and the poor. This program requires solid cooperation between housing ecosystems. Including private developers who have contributed greatly to the construction of MBR houses also need to be protected," he concluded.
