Commission I Of The DPR Urges The Government To Form A Personal Data Protection Agency
JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the DPR, By Soleh urged the government to form a Personal Data Protection Agency (BPDB) to anticipate challenges that arise due to the development of immitational reason (AI).

By saying that Indonesia already has Law Number 27/2022 concerning Personal Data Protection. However, he said, the regulations for implementing this regulation had not yet been made so that personal data protection efforts were still not running optimally.
"This situation is in our view quite urgent if we look at the development of Mind Immitation that is so fast today and triggers many cases of personal data breaches," he said.
By revealing that based on Databooks data in the third quarter of 2022, Indonesia is ranked 3rd as the country with the most data leak cases in the world. In that quarter, Indonesia experienced data leaks of 12,742,031 accounts. The amount of data leakage is arguably very large and embarrassing for the country of Indonesia.
