JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto seemed to be compact when responding to the attack on the Tarakan Police which was allegedly carried out by dozens of soldiers. Both, stated that the problem had been handled and resolved.
Starting from the National Police Chief who said he would take action against members involved in violations in a series of attacks and destruction of the Tarakan Police.
It is known that the incident began with an action against a member of Infantry Battalion 614/RJP by about five Tarakan Police personnel on February 22.
"The most important thing is that we have both agreed on what violates us," Sigit told reporters, Thursday, February 27.
Later, the North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto and Military Commander VI/Mulawarman Major General Rudy Rachmat Nugraha will investigate the matter.
In addition, Propam will also be deployed to take action against members of the National Police who were involved in a series of incidents that triggered the incident.
"I ask the Head of the Propam Division to also coordinate with the Danpuspom TNI and Danpuspomad and I think the progress is ongoing," said Sigit.
A similar statement was also made by the TNI Commander. At that time, Agus stated that his members who were suspected of being involved had been investigated. Those who will later be found guilty will be sanctioned according to the rules.
"We have examined those involved. Yes, there are several," said Agus.
Regarding the sanctions to be given, Agus could not confirm it. Because, the matter will be determined based on the mistakes made.
"We'll see if it's a mistake, because it happened at a nightclub, we will definitely do it if it's wrong," he said.
Apart from that problem, Agus stated that the incident would not affect the synergy between the TNI and Polri which has remained solid until now.
