Ponzi Scheme Online Fraud In Jambi, Police Investigate Data On The Number Of Victims
JAKARTA - The police are investigating allegations of online investment fraud or online through the Drama Boks City (DBC) application which caused Jambi residents to become victims.
Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Jambi Police, Kombes Manang Soebeti, said that his party had received reports from a number of residents who were victims of online investment.
"Currently under investigation, the total number of victims is being recapitulated for investigation needs," he said in Jambi, Thursday, February 27, as reported by Antara.
He revealed that fraud cases with investment mode are still rampant. His party received many reports related to similar cases.
He appealed to the public not to be tempted by the lure of big profits. People do not easily believe in investing without working, especially those who use any application with a ponzi scheme.
"Where members are asked to put certain funds promised by the commission, then told to do tasks online it must be fraud," he said.

He also asked people who are victims of investment fraud to report to the Jambi Regional Police. Reports can also be submitted through the Jambi Police standby hotline picket.
Meanwhile, regarding this alleged investment fraud, Manang explained that the investment that applies the ponzi scheme benefits from the investment money of new members. This makes the victim seem to be making a profit.
A number of Jambi residents who were victims of online investment through the Boks City Drama application came to the Jambi Police, Sunday, February 23. They made a report on the fraud they experienced.
This investment mode uses a ponzi scheme, where victims are asked to invest and recruit new members with the lure of big profits.
Saat ini para korban tidak dapat membuka aplikasi yang biasa mereka akses, akibatnya dana yang telah investasikan berhilang.
