The Sea Fence Case In Tangerang Does Not Involve The Company, Perpetrators Are Sanctioned Rp48 Billion
JAKARTA - The case of the sea fence in Tangerang waters, Banten, is entering a new chapter. Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono finally revealed the final results of the investigation into the case of installing the sea fence.
Trenggono said the sea fence installer was not a company but an individual.
The KKP has also named two people in charge of the case, namely the village head of Kohod Arsin bin Asip and his subordinates with the initials T.
"The perpetrator has admitted and is responsible for installing the sea fence and is willing to pay administrative fines in accordance with applicable regulations," Trenggono said during a working meeting (Raker) with Commission IV of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, February 27.
For his actions, the KKP imposed a fine of Rp48 billion. The calculation of the sanctions is adjusted to the area and length of the sea fence they built.
In addition, Trenggono claimed that the investigation was in accordance with the procedure. He said, in every step the KKP has involved the police, in this case Bareskrim Polri.
"In the end, through the investigation activities carried out by the Directorate General of PSDKP, two perpetrators were found who were proven to have actually fenced and the person concerned had also been subjected to administrative sanctions," he said.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri had detained the Village Head (Kades) Kohod Arsin and three other suspects in the case of alleged forgery of building rights certificates (SHGB)-certificates of property rights (SHM) in the Tangerang sea fence area. The detention was carried out after the four were examined as suspects.
The other three suspects are the Village Secretary (Sekdes) Kohod Ujang Karta and two power recipients with the initials SP and CE. Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro said the four suspects were questioned from 12.30-20.30 WIB.
"We are conducting a marathon examination. In the process of examination, we will still give them their rights," said Djuhandani at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, South Jakarta, Monday, February 24.
