The National Police Chief Will Take Action On Members Involved In The Tarakan Police Case
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that he would take action against members involved in violations in a series of cases of attack and destruction of the Tarakan Police.
The incident of the attack and vandalism of the Tarakan Police is known to have occurred on Monday, February 24, at around 23.30 WITA.
"The most important thing is that we have both agreed on what violates us," Sigit told reporters, Thursday, February 27.
Later, the North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto and Military Commander VI/Mulawarman Major General Rudy Rachmat Nugraha will investigate the matter.
In addition, Propam will also be deployed to take action against members of the National Police who were involved in a series of incidents that triggered the incident.
"I ask the Head of the Propam Division to also coordinate with the Danpuspom TNI and Danpuspomad and I think the progress is ongoing," he said.
Nevertheless, Sigit was reluctant to convey the number of members of the National Police who were suspected of being involved. It was only mentioned that the Propam and TNI Puspom would later convey this matter. "Later, it will be from Propam and from the TNI Puspom," said Sigit.
As previously reported, the incident began with an action against a member of Battalion 614/RJP by about five Tarakan Police personnel on February 22.
