Men In Makassar Dare To Steal A Student's Mobile At A TNI-Owned Hospital
MAKASSAR - The man who committed the theft with the initials Am (20) was arrested by the police after stealing a student's cellphone at the Pelamonia Hospital belonging to the TNI on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Makassar.
Head of Public Relations of the Ujung Pandang Police, Bripka Suwandi Salam, said that the theft of the cellphone was carried out while the victim was accompanying his mother at Pelamonia Hospital, Wednesday, April 21.
At that time, the victim was out of the treatment room bringing her mother's blood sample to the laboratory. The thief took the cellphone in the nursing room of the victim's mother who had a stroke.
"A visitor came and immediately took the victim's cellphone, the victim's mother was sick. The perpetrator was chased by the victim, but the perpetrator was not there," said Bripka Suwandi Salam, to reporters, Thursday, April 22.
The police then arrested the perpetrator. The perpetrator admitted that the stolen cellphone was sold to someone else.
"The perpetrator sold cellphones to women, at a price of more than Rp. 1 million," he said.
The perpetrator has been named a suspect. Meanwhile, the victim who lost his cellphone suffered a loss of IDR 3 million.
