Apple Inc Agrees To Invest IDR 2.6 Trillion In Indonesia, For Anything?
JAKARTA - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said, Apple Inc. has agreed to invest its new capital in Indonesia worth 160 million US dollars or around Rp. 2.6 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 16,356 per US dollar).

"What is usually the 2017-2020 cycle, 2020-2023, but the consideration of the dynamics of this negotiation is not an extension cycle, but a new cycle," Agus said at a press conference at his office, Wednesday, February 26.
"In this new cycle, we have agreed that Apple's innovation investment, which follows the third scheme, is worth 160 million US dollars", he continued.
He added that the investment value includes various activities that had not previously existed in Indonesia and would provide added value, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Apple's investment includes the continuation of the Apple Academy in the country, the establishment of the Apple Software Indonesia and Technology Institute and the Apple Professional Developer Academy.
He said the 160 million US dollars figure was an agreed minimum investment commitment.
