The National Police Chief Asks Workers To Improve Skills And Support National Economic Growth
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked all workers to improve skills to encourage economic growth according to President Prabowo Subianto's policy direction program.
This statement was made by Sigit in his remarks while attending the 52nd Anniversary of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers Unions (KSPSl) in Purwakarta, West Java.
According to him, the government has pushed for the widest possible opening of the field. However, this matter must be accompanied by an increase in the ability and skills of workers or workers.
"Of course, what the government is fighting for must also be balanced with the ability and quality of skilled, ready-to-use workers, workers who are ready to compete for various challenges, because other countries also provide the same thing," said Sigit, Wednesday, February 26.
One of the government's efforts in creating jobs is Danantara.
The project is believed to be strengthening the national economy and creating new opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
"Therefore, I ask fellow workers to prepare themselves as well as possible, so that we are ready to compete together to encourage downstreaming and industrialization in Indonesia to really work well, and Indonesia can continue to encourage economic growth like what was announced by the President," said Sigit.
On the other hand, Sigit also stated that he had followed the struggles and movements of KSPSI since he was still a middle officer. According to him, the movement and struggle of workers is highly appreciated.
"I congratulate the movement and struggle of fellow workers who have fought for what is the right of their colleagues on a long journey as their colleagues struggle to carry out the lawsuit in the Constitutional Court," said the National Police Chief.
It is hoped that the workers will continue to fight for their rights in the future. However, Sigit also advised KSPSI to maintain good relations between workers and employers in order to build Indonesia together.
"But I remind all colleagues that we must protect our relationship with entrepreneurs, workers and entrepreneurs are complementary elements to be able to build this country together," said Sigit.
