Expert Witness Calls Baim Wong Allegedly Violence Against Paula Verhoeven

JAKARTA The divorce trial between Paula Verhoeven and Baim Wong was held again with the agenda of bringing in expert witnesses from Paula's side.

During the trial, expert witness Paula Verhoeven, Abhimanyu gave her statement regarding the alleged incident of shouts and physical contact recorded on CCTV by Baim to Paula.

"So the man spoke loudly to women and then there was a scream, there was a word that was a bit loud so that it made the atmosphere even more unfavorable and from this act, if the woman is silent, she speaks calmly, but this one is a bit loud," said Abhimanyu at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Wednesday, February 26.

According to him, in the CCTV it can be seen, Paula remains calm, unfortunately the silent reaction actually triggers Baim to be more intense in interacting and asking for a response.

"Because being silent might make the man want to intensively interact with the woman to say that, ask for a response until then there is a hard body contact," he continued.

Furthermore, Abhimanyu revealed that evidence from CCTV footage showed a hard impact that caused Paula Verhoeven to bounce off.

"On CCTV, evidence of a hard impact and hit until one was beaten bounced," he continued.

He also added that the physical contact was clearly visible in the recording, where the male hand seemed to push the woman's head forward.

"Yes, there was contact there, yes, it was the male side, then the female party bounced because of it, then there was also contact, so do something to his head that was a woman," said Abhimanyu.

"So with the movement of the hand that makes the woman's head feel like she is pushing forward," he said
