Head Of PP Japto Soerjosoemarno Responds To KPK's Calls Today Regarding Rita Widyasari's Case
JAKARTA - Chairman of Pemuda Pancasila (PP) Japto Soerjosoemarno visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Wednesday, February 26. He fulfilled his summons as a witness to the alleged receipt of gratuities related to the metric tons of coal mining that ensnared former Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari.
Japto was present at the anti-corruption commission building at around 09.30 WIB accompanied by a number of people. He did not say much, including when asked about the investigations that would be carried out by investigators.
"Later, let it inside," said Japto briefly while walking briefly into the building.
Japto also did not answer about his introduction to Rita. However, he opened his voice about the 11 cars confiscated by investigators from his residence during his search some time ago.
"Already (handed over 11 confiscated cars, ed)," he said.
KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu revealed that his subordinates would examine Japto regarding the case that ensnared Rita. Requests for information were made after investigators searched the house of the head of the community organization (ormas) on February 4.
"That's right, it will be checked tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken, we are scheduled to do that, yes (Japto will be questioned tomorrow, red)," said KPK Investigating Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 25.
Even so, Asep has not detailed whether Japto is present or not. "So just wait," he said.
"Present or not tomorrow," continued Asep.
From this forced attempt, 11 cars were confiscated including Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, Landrover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes Benz, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Coldis, and Suzuki. Then investigators are also rupiah and foreign currencies worth Rp56 billion, documents and electronic evidence allegedly related to the case being handled.
Previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of corruption related to coal exports that ensnared Rita Widyasari as the former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara. In fact, non-tax state revenues (PNBP) continue to be investigated.
It is suspected that Rita received ton metric money in every coal mining exploration process. This investigation was carried out by the KPK as an entry point to investigate allegations of money laundering (TPPU).

In the money laundering case, Rita has been named a suspect along with Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama, Khairudin on January 16, 2018. They are suspected of washing money from the results of project gratuities and licensing at the Kutai Kartanegara Provincial Government worth Rp436 billion.
Rita is currently a resident of Pondok Bambu Women's Prison, East Jakarta because she was proven to have received gratuities of Rp. 110.7 billion and bribes of up to Rp. 6 billion from permit applicants and project partners. He had to serve a sentence of 10 years in prison which was handed down by the Jakarta Corruption Court on July 6, 2018.
