Cabinet Reshuffle, PDIP: Monggo Pak Jokowi Appoints
JAKARTA - PDIP has invited President Joko Widodo to overhaul the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The party that is the main supporter of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government also has no problem with whoever the President appoints as minister.
PDIP DPR member Eriko Sutarduga emphasized that the reshuffle was fully President Jokowi's prerogative. This matter cannot be intervened by any party, including the party.
"So what's wrong with the name reshuffle, it doesn't matter who the person is, let's go, Pak Jokowi appoints it," said Eriko at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, April 22.
However, Eriko was surprised by the news that President Jokowi would appoint a new minister this week. In fact, he said, his party was not aware of the reshuffle volume 2.
"Yesterday, how come it got excited, so we want to hurry up to be inaugurated, or this Wednesday Pahing or Wednesday, where is it going to go, we don't even know like that," said Eriko.
However, Eriko supports President Jokowi's decisions regarding his ministers, both from political parties and professionals. For him, it does not matter as long as the President's choice later is the right person for the progress of the nation and state.
"There is nothing wrong if we want to aim at professionals, we can do it, let us not dichotomize whether it is also a political person or an unprofessional political party," said Eriko.
"Most importantly, we both agree to defend the unitary state of the Indonesian republic, which is mentioned in the Pancasila of the 1945 Constitution," he continued.
Eriko is sure that President Jokowi will not arbitrarily appoint people to be his ministers.
"So about who the person is, of course it's not that easy. Who wants to be appointed certainly needs time, "he concluded.
