Tightening Prohibition Of Homecoming, West Java Regional Police Prepares 120 Blocking Points

JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) said they would anticipate alternative routes that could potentially be used by travelers in the atmosphere of Lebaran 2021.

West Java Regional Police Head Kombes Erdi A Chaniago said the move was in accordance with the latest homecoming ban which was implemented starting April 22, 2021 this Thursday.

"What is used as an alternative route for homecoming activities is of course supervised. The possible model is to reverse the flow of travelers," Erdi said in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 22.

The West Java Regional Police have prepared 120 insulating points focused on 11 jurisdictions of various police stations that are often traversed by travelers.

"We are making a new strategy, namely blocking both on toll roads and on regular routes used by two-wheeled or four-wheeled wheels," said Erdi.

The latest homecoming ban was conveyed by the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 by issuing a circular to tighten the mobility of Domestic Travel Actors (PPDN).

The mobility tightening applies during the D-14 of the elimination of homecoming which takes place on 22 April to 5 May 2021 and H + 7 of the elimination of homecoming on 18 May to 24 May 2021.

Meanwhile, during the period of eliminating homecoming from 6 to 17 May 2021, there will still be restrictions on community mobility.
