Genesis GV60 Magma Seen Being Tested On A Speeding Track, Launching This Year?

JAKARTA - A premium automotive brand from South Korea, Genesis introduced the Magma Concept in the middle of last year as a base for high-performance vehicles to be launched in the near future.

One of the models to be introduced by Genesis is the Magma version of GV60 with more aggressive performance than its standard version. Now, the SUV is seen being tested during winter weather.

Launching from InsideEVs, Tuesday, February 25, the car appears with a camouflage sticker disguised and looks very similar to the standard version.

The Magma version of Genesis GV60 features the rear wing in its concept version and has some striking aggressive details.

This car is seen walking with a number of elements layered in orange, consisting of shark fin antennas, caliber brakes, and two additional roof fins as well as signaling the impression of sporty.

The plastic layer around the prototypical wheel arch does not stand out much as in its concept. Most of the aggressive attitude in this trial version comes from overfenders, which allow designers to push the wheels further, giving the impression of a larger track width.

Because it is designed for aggressive performance, Genesis GV60 Magma has a lower suspension that looks like a hot hatch than a crossover coupe.

Genesis GV60 Magma uses the same E-GMP platform as Kia EV6 and Ioniq 5 as well as the latest Hyundai N high performance version. It is estimated that Genesis's power will be slightly larger than Ioniq 5 N which produces 600 dk of power and 748 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the setup of the GV60 Magma Concept battery and electric motor will not be much different from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, with an 84kWh battery and an electric motor in each doubler.

It is estimated that the launch will coincide with Hyundai Ioniq 6 N in 2025 and will be sold in several countries afterward.
