Bali DPRD Godok Transportation Regulation In The Aftermath Of The Demo Of Local Tourism Drivers

DENPASAR - Bali Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) said the formation of regional regulations regarding transportation modes had entered the regional regulation formation agency (Bapemperda) and immediately proceeded.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of Commission III of the Bali DPRD, Nyoman Suyasausai, arguing with the mass of action from local tourism drivers of the Bali Tourism Driver Struggle Forum, which is estimated to reach a thousand people, in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, February 25.

"The first step is to get a number quickly so that we can process the drafting process into a regional regulation, we first form members of the special committee so that they can take action, this month we must be able to start," he said.

Suyasa admitted that he was ready if the leadership of the Bali DPRD assigned him as chairman of the special committee, and would move as soon as possible after being challenged by local tourism drivers to complete the regional regulation within 6 months or resign from office.

"Yes, I think it was already tense there, the tension is a bit high, if we are given a period of time, we are ready but if it's too short it's a bit risky too, we are at least 3-6 months," he said.

According to him, completing these regional regulations is quite complicated because it involves many things such as determining sanctions and tariffs.

Deputy Chairman of the Bali DPRD I Wayan Disel Astawa added to the council's request that representatives of local tourism drivers be involved in drafting regional regulations.

According to him, the most important thing is to determine the right rates so that competition with online transportation is maintained in good health.

"So that I don't get the wrong one-sided rates, I have to get input from each community because there are conventional and they must each provide input to be determined in the regional regulation," said South.

He explained that causing a commotion between the masses of action and the council was a situation of less conducive discussion, when the council explained that tourism drivers continued to talk so that the two parties heated up.

However, the delivery of aspirations went smoothly and the Bali DPRD ensured that after the Governor of Bali was inaugurated, the regional regulation would be a priority and completed in 6 months without threatening each other.
