The National Police Predicts The Peak Flow Of Homecoming For Eid 2025 On March 28-30
JAKARTA - The National Police predicts that the peak of the 2025 Eid homecoming flow will occur on March 28 to 30. The National Police will hold Operation Ketupat for a week.
Deputy Main Assistant for Operations (Wanastamops) National Police Chief Inspector General Endi Sutendi said that in Operation Ketupat which took place from March 26 to April 8, 2025, a number of traffic engineering schemes had been prepared.
"The National Police will hold Operation Ketupat from March 26 to April 8. The peak of the homecoming flow is expected to occur on March 28-30, while the backflow is predicted to peak after April 8," said Inspector General Endi in his statement, Tuesday, February 25.
The traffic engineering scheme is prepared, such as contraflow to a one-way system (one way) on several toll roads. However, the implementation is situational.
"For the scheme on toll roads, we will see the situation and conditions on the ground. If necessary, we will implement contraflow, a one-way system, as well as divert currents to arterial routes to facilitate traffic," he said.

It is predicted that the number of travelers this year will be more than 100 million people. Therefore, the National Police will cooperate with various relevant agencies to ensure smooth homecoming and backflow.
"Based on last year's experience and movement during Christmas and New Year (Nataru), the number of travelers is estimated to be above 100 million people. Therefore, we will take more mature anticipatory steps. God willing, by mid-March we will hold a Cross-Sectoral Meeting with the Ministry of Transportation and related agencies to obtain more valid information," said Endi.
