Kapolda-Pangdam Affirms Incident In Tarakan Will Not Disturb The Solidity Of The TNI And Polri

TARAKAN - North Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto and Military Commander VI/Mulawarman Major General Rudy Rachmat Nugraha confirmed that the attack on the Tarakan Police Headquarters allegedly carried out by a number of TNI soldiers did not interfere with the solidity of the TNI and Polri.

"Regarding this issue, we, the TNI and Polri, have carried out activities in stages and together to solve problems," said Hary in Tarakan, Antara, Tuesday, February 25.

The Regional Police Chief also said that Pangdam VI/Mulawarman Maj. Gen. Rudy Rachmat Nugraha provided moral support to restore the situation to its original state.

The plan is that after the Tarakan Police, the Pangdam will visit members of the National Police who are being treated at a hospital in Tarakan City to encourage recovery.

The Military Commander emphasized that the attack on the Tarakan Police Headquarters would not damage the solidity and solidarity that had been built together with the police.

He also ensured that his party would continue to investigate and investigate TNI soldiers suspected of being involved in the attack incident and will take action according to the applicable law.

"We together with the Kapolda want to cool the atmosphere and this incident will not damage the solidarity we have built together with the police," he said.

Regarding the chronology of the incident, the Pangdam said that the Propam Division of the North Kalimantan Police and the TNI Denpom were still investigating.

He asked the public to be patient waiting for the results of the investigation. "What is clear is that the Kapolda and the Pangdam together tieredly resolve this problem," he added.

As a result of the attack on the Tarakan Police Headquarters on Monday (24/2) night at around 23.00 WITA, six members of the National Police were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.

"It is the same with the Kapolda, that we are still investigating and investigating the elements and of course we will face the law that applies to our unit, currently it is still in the process of being investigated," said the Pangdam.
