KPK Ready To Coordinate Corruption Prevention In Danantara If Asked

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto said he was ready to provide assistance to prevent corruption in the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) if requested. This kind of step has been taken against other institutions.

"As for prevention, as has been done in many ministries/agencies and local governments, as long as it is coordinated, it will definitely be followed up," Setyo told reporters, Tuesday, February 25.

BPI Danantara CEO Rosan P. Roeslani previously stated that his institution was not above the law. The KPK can carry out investigations in the event of an alleged criminal act.

"First, what I want to say is that there is no immunity in this country. So the KPK can, especially if there are inappropriate or criminal actions, it is very, very possible," he told reporters at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, February 24.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) can conduct audits, especially for companies that carry out public obligations (PSO) programs.

Furthermore, Danantara is also called the institution that is most monitored because it is directly under the coordination of President Prabowo Subianto. Rosan ensured that the direction of the former Minister of Defense would be carried out, including the matter of openness.

"The President's message is that we always have to be open and we are open. I tell my friends here, this is a big responsibility and God willing, if we run this well and also with a mature perspective, and also without any conflict of interest, God willing, this can work," he concluded.
