Indonesian Boxing Legend Ellyas Pical Treated In Hospital

JAKARTA Indonesian boxing legend Ellyas Pical is lying in hospital. He is in intensive care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room.

The news regarding the condition of the 1985 junior or super-flying bantam-class IBF world title winner was conveyed by the @Dirgantara003 account on social media X on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The account uploaded a photo of the boxer lying on the hospital bed supporting other medical devices that are usually found in the ICU.

"Please pray for our former boxing world champion Elly Pical in treatment at the ICU Harapan Kita Hospital, West Jakarta, Monday, February 24, 2025. May God give healing. Amen," wrote the account.

In another upload, Ellyas Pical is said to haveile heart disease. The problem led him to the installation of two rings or stents in the heart.

Ellyas Pical has had the latest heart problems since Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for intensive treatment.

Until now, the Ellyas Pical family has not provided detailed information about the development of the condition of the former boxer with the nickname The Exocet.

This is not the first time the former fighter from Saparua has been hospitalized for a heart attack. He had previously also been hospitalized in February 2017 due to the same disease.
