Prabowo Officially Appoints Maruarar Sirait As Chair Of The Tapera Committee, Replaces Basuki Hadimuljono

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) to be the Chair of the Public Housing Savings Committee (Tapera).

This stipulation is as stated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 5/M of 2025 concerning Membership of the Tapera Committee signed by Prabowo on January 17, 2025.

"Following up on the arrangement of duties and functions of the Ministry of the Red and White Cabinet for the period 2024-2029, appointing the Membership of the Tapera Committee, the first each PKP Minister as Chair concurrent members," reads the decision quoted on Tuesday, February 25.

In addition, the decision also appointed the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati as a member of the Tapera Committee and the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli as a member.

Then, there is also the name of the Commissioner of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Frederica Widyasari Dewi as a member and Eko Djoeli Heripoerwanto from a professional element as a member.

Through this decision, it was also stated that Vincentius Sonny Loho, MPM., respectfully dismissed from members of the Tapera committee from the professional elements for the period 2021-2026, starting from June 14, 2023.

The term of office of the Tapera committee members of the professional element will continue the remaining term of office of the replaced members.

Meanwhile, based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 9 of 2023, the Tapera Committee is an official whose function is to formulate general and strategic policies in managing public housing savings. The Tapera Committee consists of chairmen, members and professionals.
