Drunk And Not Finding Food, Men In Makassar Persecuted Stepmother

The Tamalate Sector Police managed to arrest the suspect with the initials WI alias Wahyu (25) who was suspected of molesting his stepmother, Sitti Aminah (43), until he was seriously injured on Monday.

"The perpetrator was arrested in an empty house on Jalan Mallengkeri III, Tamalate District. When he was arrested, the perpetrator was in a drunken state," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tamalate Police, Iptu Abdul Rahman, quoted by ANTARA on Tuesday, February 25.

The incident began when the perpetrator, who was drunk, wanted to eat at his house, but couldn't find food. He then accused his stepmother of hiding food, until she finally abused the victim.

After attacking her stepmother, the perpetrator fled to the PDAM area of Jalan Mallengkeri III to meet her colleague, Ashar Idil (25), who was also a victim in the incident.

Based on CCTV footage at the scene, the perpetrator was seen carrying a machete and showing the weapon to his colleague to be kissed. The perpetrator also kissed the machete before finally swinging it and injured the victim's right thumb.

After carrying out the action, the perpetrator, who was known to have no job, kept running away and hid in an empty house around the scene.

When arrested, the perpetrator admitted to molesting two people, namely his stepmother and his own friend using a machete. The perpetrator admitted that he had disposed of the machete used, so the police were still looking for the evidence.

Currently, the perpetrator has been detained at the Tamalate Police cell for further legal proceedings. The arrests were made by a team led by Abdul Rahman and accompanied by Panit 2 Opsnal Reskrim, Iptu Yusri Yunus, and the Jatanras team.
