"Development of border areas as a concrete solution to accelerate the expansion of the APO Kayan DOB, this is what is expected to be realized soon after the end of the moratorium. We are also committed to protecting this area as part of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
Ibau Ala, who also serves as a member of the Malinau Regency DPRD, explained that the administrative DOB of Apau Kayan was no longer a problem. "Regional connectivity in the form of road infrastructure needs is very much needed by Kayan Apau residents, we have conveyed this again at the National Conference. Hopefully, the central government can respond immediately," he explained.
Ibau said the Presidium team together with the Malinau Regency Government (Pemkab) had met with the Ministry of PUPR and the Ministry of Transportation in Jakarta to discuss infrastructure development and Subsidies for Border Transport Ongkos (SOA) to Kayan Apau.
"We have also conveyed the condition of the cut road regarding this year's SOA (2025) running until August. The central government will continue until December or budget again through the Revised State Budget in 2025," he said.

"There are still many territorial areas that are very wide so that public services are not optimal, for that regional expansion is very necessary," said Syaiful Huda.
