Kaltara Police Strengthen Security Cooperation With Sabah PDRM

TANJUNG SELOR - Head of the North Kalimantan Regional Police (Kapolda) Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto received an honorary visit from the Delegation of the Regent of the Sabah Police, Polis Diraja Malaysia.

"This visit marks a joint commitment in strengthening security cooperation and maintaining stability in the Indonesia-Malaysia border area," said the Kaltara Police Chief, Monday, February 24.

Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto emphasized that close cooperation between the two institutions is very important in facing border security challenges, such as narcotics crimes, smuggling, and trafficking in persons.

"This meeting also discussed plans for a follow-up meeting to be held in April 2025, with the main agenda discussing more concrete cooperation on security issues in border areas," he explained.

Meanwhile, YDH CP Datuk Jauteh Bin Dikun welcomed the cooperation that had been established and stated the readiness of the Sabah PDRM to continue to synergize with the Kaltara Police.

"We really appreciate the relationship that has been formed between PDRM and POLRI, especially the Kaltara Police," he said.

"This visit is expected to be a new milestone in strengthening coordination between the security forces of Indonesia and Malaysia," he said.
