Initially Looking For A Lost Cellphone, An Egyptian Citizen In Kuta Rage Damaged Ruko Glass

An Egyptian man with the initials AMAS (21) was arrested by the North Kuta Police, for raging and destroying the glass door of a shop or beauty salon located on Jalan Gunung Salak Utara, Kerobokan Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

Head of Public Relations of the Badung Police, Ipda I Putu Sukarma, said the incident occurred on Sunday (23/2) at around 12.00 WITA.

"The modus operandi is that the perpetrator vandalized the glass door by hitting it using wood until the glass was broken at the door," said Ipda Sukarma, Monday, February 24.

The shop owner initially received information that the victim's shop window was damaged by the perpetrator. The victim immediately rushed to the shop and met the perpetrator.

"But the foreigner was angry, and had tried to run away. So suddenly the victim screamed so that the person who heard immediately arrested and secured the foreigner," he added.

Another witness said that the perpetrator had entered the residents' house. The perpetrator showed a Google Map print and admitted that his lost cellphone was at the witness's house.

When matched the coordinates, the perpetrator's cellphone was not at the house of the witness who was visited. The perpetrator immediately left.

Moments later, the witness heard the sound of broken glass 4 times. It turned out that the shop glass was damaged by the perpetrator.

"There was a verbal altercation between the victim, the witness and the perpetrator, and finally the witness contacted the North Kuta Police after an hour or so arguing and waiting for patrols from the North Kuta Police. It is suspected that the perpetrator fled, so the thief shouted at the perpetrator, finally the perpetrator was arrested by local residents," he said.
