Palace: Danantara Consolidates State Assets To Build Strategic Industry
JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi said the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) was President Prabowo Subianto's strategy to consolidate state wealth and assets to build the strategic industrial sector.
President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, inaugurated BPI Danantara, as well as announcing Danantara as a sovereign wealth fund in Indonesia.
"The aerospace will finance the strategic industry itself, including nickel downstream, cobalt, to develop artificial intelligence, for the manufacture of oil refineries and supporting industries, which will support the Indonesian nation to jump as a developed country with 8 percent economic growth," Hasan Nasbi told reporters. reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 24.
He continued that the steps that will be taken by the Danantara are an effort to carry out the constitutional order of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, especially Article 33 paragraph (3) which reads: Earth and water and natural wealth contained therein are controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people'.
Hasan is optimistic that Danantara can be a solution to the paradox experienced by developing countries with abundant wealth of natural resources. The paradox is also the main issue written by President Prabowo Subianto in his book entitled Paradox Indonesia.
"This is an effort by the government to resolve the Indonesian paradox, as written by President Prabowo Subianto in his book. There is no need to argue, our nation is rich, we should be more prosperous. But in reality, until 80 years of Indonesia's standing there is still inequality, there are still poor people, there are still those who cannot eat, there are still areas that are left behind in development. This must all be resolved immediately. So, the Indonesian paradox must be resolved, "said Hasan Nasbi.
