Head Of Authority On When Prabowo Visits IKN: In The Near Future

JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said that in the near future President Prabowo Subianto would visit IKN. Basuki said Prabowo had scheduled a visit time to IKN.

"Because he might (to IKN). However, he has scheduled it in the near future," Basuki said at a press conference on the PPP IKN Market Sounding agenda at the Public Works Ministry Auditorium, Jakarta, Monday, February 24.

When asked if Prabowo would visit IKN after Lebaran, Basuki was reluctant to reveal exactly when. Basuki only emphasized that it was adjusted to the schedule of the Head of State.

"Maybe. It depends on his schedule. It's me, right, (adjusting) his schedule," said Basuki.

Previously, Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said President Prabowo Subianto would have an office in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, starting August 17, 2028.

This was conveyed by Dody when asked by the media about when the target for IKN development would be completed in the era of Prabowo's leadership.

"Pak Prabowo's target is August 17, 2028, already based there (IKN). As soon as August 17, 2029," said Dody when met by reporters at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, December 6.

Dody assessed that the development of IKN in the era of Prabowo's leadership will be focused on building a legislative and judicial building.

"(The construction of the building) is executive, legislative and judicial, along with (the transfer) of all Jakarta ASN. The focus is there first," he said.

However, he did not deny that currently the ministry he leads has the task of getting Prabowo to focus on food self-sufficiency supporting infrastructure. Thus, the Ministry of Public Works will work on the mandate first.

"The influence is very slow, yes, no. So, the priority is maybe those who withdraw with us," said Dody.
