The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Notes That B40 Has Been Distributed 1.4 Million KL As Of February 18
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) noted that it had distributed 1,473,764 kilo liters of B40 until February 2025.
This domestic distribution has reached 9.4 percent of the total national allocation of 15,616,586 kl.
Director General of EBTKE, Eniya Listiani Dewi said the mandatory program of mixing biodiesel/FAME type of biodiesel/fuel fuel into 60 percent Solar Oil Fuel (B40) continues to show positive developments since its January 1, 2025.
"For the achievement of the distribution targets that have been set, monitoring and monitoring activities will still be carried out optimally," said Eniya, quoted on Monday, February 24.
Eniya detailed, of the 1.4 million KL, 767,283 KL came from the distribution of PSO or 10.6 percent of the total PSO allocation of 7,554,000 KL and 706,481 KL from non-PSO distribution or 8.8 percent of the total non-PSO allocation of 8,062,586 kl.
Currently, as many as 79 out of 88 handover points (Oil Fuel Terminal or TBBM) have distributed 40 percent biodiesel mixture (BioGasoil or B40).
One handover point is still in the stage of improving the facility in order to fully support the implementation, while the other eight handover points are in the preparation stage.
To ensure that the transition runs smoothly, the government provides relaxation of the distribution of B35 for handover points that are still adjusting facilities and infrastructure until February 28, 2025.
In 2025, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources set a total biodiesel allocation of 15.6 million Kl consisting of 7.55 million KL for PSO and 8.07 million kl for non-PSO.
This program is supported by 24 BBN Business Entities that will distribute biodiesel, 2 fuel business entities that will distribute B40 for PSO and non-PSO, as well as 28 fuel business entities that will distribute B40 specifically for non-PSO.
With a total allocation of biodiesel distribution of 15.6 million kl, the mandatory B40 program in 2025 is expected to provide benefits, namely, foreign exchange savings of 9.33 billion US dollars or Rp. 147.5 trillion, increase in added value of CPO to biodiesel of Rp. 20.90 trillion, employment of more than 14,000 people (off-farm) and 1.95 million people (on-farm) as well as emission reduction of 41.46 million tons of CO2e.
